I Was Right, Its Official -Housework is Bad for You!!!

According to new research, housework may be bad for your health and cause asthma.The study involving 3,500 people in 190 European countries suggests that cleaning your house as little as once weekly with commonly used sprays/air fresheners could raise the risk of asthma in adults by 30-50%. Air fresheners, furniture cleaners and glass cleaners had the strongest effect

Hazards of Trampolines

Our Lady's Hospital , Crumlin has done a study on trampoline related injuries. The study published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics ( Oct-Nov 2007) revealed that 101 children were treated for these injuries in the 3 summer months of 2005.

 The authors concluded that trampolines are a high risk activity with the potential for significant orthopaedic injury and they advised that trampolines should only be used in supervised training programmes- never at home, outdoor playgrounds or schools.
